You’ll do this at one or more of DSV’s locations: you will be working on it. 

How do you do this? Within a regional team of process and application engineers, knowledge sharing is central. You regularly take on a coordinating role in large-scale projects, always striving for the most efficient execution of our logistics services, tailored to both internal and external client needs. You will achieve this by: 

• proactively suggesting improvements and solutions for our warehouse management system, which uses Redprairie / JDA Dispatcher;
• participating in projects, such as setting up new clients or migrating existing clients;
• identifying deviations and trends in reports. For recurring reports, you naturally search for the root cause of the problem. Then, you work with your team on a sustainable solution within the system.

Your team at DSV is known for its short communication lines and flat organisation. As an application engineer, you enjoy a lot of freedom and responsibility and work with the latest technologies, such as our automated warehouse in Venlo. In short, you contribute to the future of our logistics services.

You bring

• a completed relevant HBO degree in logistics, supply chain, IT, or a similar field, supplemented with about 3 years of experience in a similar role;
• knowledge of logistics processes, warehouse management systems, and SQL, preferably combined with experience in logistics automation/mechanisation;
• analytical skills and the ability to translate operational and external client needs into specifications for IT;
• strong communication skills, both in Dutch and English.
