Move forward as Control Tower Assistent at DSV in Dordrecht

For our division road, we are looking for the indispensable link between our customer and internal departments within DSV. You will be in daily contact with our international customers and act as their internal representative to our colleagues in planning (road transport) and cross dock departments. Our European Control Tower is divided into various verticals, which are spread across DSV offices in Sevenum and Dordrecht. With your knowledge, experience and interests, you will play an indispensable role within the department of the vertical Logistic Service Provider in Dordrecht. Together with your team, you ensure a smooth customer implementation and further build the customer relationship: you make it happen.

How you do this? You always strive for the ultimate customer experience! At DSV, you are in contact with our international customers every day. You are their go-to person and ensure that shipments arrive at their destination on time and without any issues. You are the linchpin between our customers and colleagues. In addition, you ensure good communication in case of delays or problems and find the best solutions in consultation with your team and the customer. You achieve this by:

  • maintaining close contact with customers and internal departments, including your colleagues from planning, sales, and cross dock;
  • handling complaints or claims and processing the accompanying logistical administration in our system (Cargolink);
  • proactively identifying process deviations, analyzing bottlenecks and ensuring a solution;
  • further developing the customer relationship and recognizing business opportunities.

You bring

  • a passion for transport and logistics, which you can also convey this to others;
  • at least 2 years of work experience in a similar role, such as customer service representative, transport planner, logistics coordinator or another customer-oriented function;
  • social skills, a healthy dose of humor and you are not afraid to pick up the phone and talk to your colleagues and customers;
  • a service-oriented mindset, you think in solutions, work well in a team, and only consider the job done when it's finished;
  • good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
