Move forward as Customer Care Representative at DSV in Amsterdam

Customer service champion needed. Our key accounts in Amsterdam are eagerly waiting for you. For one of our VIP clients in the gaming industry, among others, we are looking for a customer care enthusiast. Someone with a strong personality and drive. With your knowledge of inbound and outbound logistics flows, you now best how to assist our key accounts with inventory management, order management and shipments to their clients. That is what you do!

You get it done

In Amsterdam, our warehouse is 50,000 square meters and here, we work together on the inbound and outbound of goods for our international key accounts. You are the go-to person for clients regarding questions and follow-up actions related to incoming deliveries, inventory management, claims, orders to be processed and arranging transport.

How you do this? In this role, you work closely with colleagues in our warehouse. As a result, you have a clear overview of current inventories and orders that need to be processed. Clients rely on you for order processing and further delivery to their clients. The inventory of our key account is delivered to our warehouse, where the products are registered. Is there an incoming order? Time for action! You ensure that the order is processed in our system and all the documentation is completed. Once the order is entered in our system, your colleagues from the warehouse will gather and pack all the items for further distribution. When the order is ready to be shipped, you keep a close eye on ensuring correct and timely delivery to the end customer. Any disruptions in the delivery process, such as inventory discrepancies or delivery issues, challenge you to find the most customer-oriented solution. You get this done by:

  • managing order processing, invoicing and arranging transportation;
  • identifying disruptions in the order of delivery process, trying to resolve them and timely contacting clients to inform the about delays of changes;
  • compiling reports and informing key accounts about achieve kpi results;
  • handling complaints or claims and escalating them to the relevant departments;
  • working meticulously, keeping an overview of the entire process and closely collaborating with warehouse colleagues.

You bring

  • knowledge and expertise of inbound and outbound customer service processes, shipping terms, stock allocation and (basic knowledge of) customs matters;
  • a sense of humor, a strong personality and a passion for the customer service profession;
  • work experience in a similar role, such as a customer service position in a logistics environment (for example freight forwarder);
  • naturally, you are customer-oriented, have strong communication skills and are proficient in both English and Dutch.
