Move forward as Customer Service Warehouse & Distribution at DSV in Dordrecht

From our warehouse in Dordrecht, we provide storage and further distribution of goods for our (international) customers. This storage and subsequent transport must, of course, be well managed and for this, we are looking for an energetic customer service representative. Orders from our customers are in your capable hands and together with your colleagues in our warehouse, you ensure optimal customer service. That is what you do!

You get it done

By being familiar with our customers' products and through close collaboration with your colleagues in the warehouse, you have an overview of the inventory. You meticulously process incoming orders in our systems (Cargowise and WMS) and ensure that your colleagues in the warehouse know which orders can be prepared for shipment. Of course, you already have the necessary documents ready, and you have arranged the further distribution of goods domestically or internationally down to the last detail. Everything to ensure our high level of customer satisfaction. You contribute to this.

How you do this? Naturally, you are in close contact with our customers, but you also work closely with your colleagues in the warehouse on a daily basis. This close cooperation is essential to ensure that orders are transported correctly and by the agreed deadline. For further distribution, you coordinate with our Road, Air & Sea Division, or you enlist the help of external carriers. Not only do you organize distribution from our warehouse, but you may also arrange transport to pick up shipments from our customers. Therefore, it’s useful if you are familiar with transport documentation. It also helps if you have knowledge of inventory management, so you know how to handle incoming shipments. You make sure the order processing and the entire distribution process run smoothly. You achieve this by:

  • processing incoming orders, providing the necessary transport documentation, inventory management, and completing files through invoicing;
  • organizing transport for outgoing or incoming deliveries, working closely with internal divisions and external carriers;
  • supporting your colleagues in the warehouse by giving instructions regarding incoming/outgoing shipments;
  • solving customer issues related to inventory discrepancies and damages in a customer-focused manner.

You’ll be working in a fun and active team of about 16 colleagues (8 office and 8 warehouse). Your workday? It starts sometime between 7:00 AM and 9:30 AM. Naturally, you will coordinate with your colleagues about your starting time, so the team is well-staffed to handle the workload. After all, good teamwork with a smile is the foundation of your team.
