Move forward as Project Specialist Oil & Gas at DSV in Rotterdam

In this role, you will be responsible for supplying large international clients active in the oil and gas industry. For example, for drilling platforms, you ensure that the daily operation runs 24/7 by supplying all necessary goods. This can range from delivering industrial engines to time-critical products. Time is of the essence! Together with your colleagues, you will find the best logistical solutions. That is what you do!

You get it done

Together with your colleagues in Rotterdam (office and warehouse), you ensure that all necessary goods are sent to the offshore (drilling) platforms. This is done via air freight, sea freight, breakbulk, or courier. From the DSV warehouse to the other side of the world: you make it happen.

How do you do this? By working closely with internal and external stakeholders. You have frequent contact with your fellow project specialists and also coordinate with your colleagues in the warehouse. Your client has placed an order with a supplier and contacts you. Time for action! Your colleagues in the warehouse receive the shipment, check it for quantities, damages and documentation. You then ensure that the shipment is prepared, an appropriate transport option is selected and all certifications and documentation is correct. You operate in a way that maintains customer satisfaction for your international key accounts. You strive for the best service and optimal customer satisfaction. This also means that you keep the customer informed about the progress of the deliveries throughout the process. You achieve this by:

  • processing customer orders in the DSV system and informing colleagues on what to do;
  • maintaining contact with (road) carriers, shipping lines, airlines, and agents;
  • resolving customer-oriented issues with the delivery, such as delays en route or issues preventing timely/complete delivery;
  • keeping your contacts at the client updated on the status of deliveries, both by phone and email.

Your team at DSV stands out for its friendly and open way of communicating with each other, in a typically Rotterdam style. A positive atmosphere at work is important to the team. Working together on the further growth of DSV in the Waalhaven area.
