Strengthening the position of HR within the organization, while considering the culture and differences across divisions or regions. Your focus will be on developing a clear mid-term strategy. You'll create concrete plans for where HR needs to be in three years and determine what is required to achieve this. Thanks to your dedication and forecasting, you ensure that our HR strategies and processes remain aligned with the needs of the organization: your contributions will be evident.

How do you do this? As an senior HR Manager, you play a key role in bridging two different divisions and several staff departments such as IT and Customs. The Air & Sea division is entrepreneurial and flexible in a fast-moving market, while the Road division focuses on customer orientation, structure, and precision.
As the driving force behind our dedicated HR team, consisting of 4 to 5 colleagues spread across locations in Schiphol, Venlo, Dordrecht, Rotterdam, Maastricht, Eelde, and Eindhoven, you are responsible for the further professionalization of HR. Together with your team, you translate the HR strategy of our national policy into the specific needs of the Air & Sea and Road divisions.

Your ability to navigate between different cultures and levels within the organization is essential. You simplify complex HR processes for line management to handle effectively. Among other responsibilities, you manage all HR processes within the divisions, execute and guide talent management and succession planning, and contribute to national HR projects. Additionally, you work on bringing the divisions closer together under the "ONE DSV" policy, ensuring the divisions are future ready. You achieve this by:

  • developing and rolling out national HR policies within the divisions;
  • leading a team of enthusiastic and professional HR Business Partners;
  • providing strategic advice and translating HR strategy into actionable plans for your divisions;
  • contributing to or leading projects at a national level, but also within the divisions or locally.

You bring

  • experience working in complex and international environments and are willing to regularly be present at various sites including Dordrecht, Venlo, and Schiphol;
  • a proven track record in developing and implementing national HR policies;
  • experience with integration processes and international HR management;
  • strategic thinking ability and the capacity to operate at multiple organizational levels;
  • fluency in both Dutch and English;
  • the ability to provide a VGB (certificate of good conduct).
