DSV Air & Sea  is seeking to hire a skilled and passionate VAL Operator Specialist in Goulburn. 

The position is responsible for managing inventory using a computerised database system. The primary objective will be to liaise with the customer regarding the flow of inventory in and out of the warehouse, which covers a variety of tasks, such as order preparation, location planning, inventory maintenance and storage location planning.
 

Your typical day at DSV:

•    Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines.
•    Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct number of items are received and despatched.
•    Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.
•    Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity and location discrepancies between stock and records.
•    Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximise efficiency and cut operational costs.
•    Respond to customer enquiries; collect and analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities; process orders for shipment.
•    Track rates of accuracy, prepare inventory reports; review reports monthly with management.
•    Assist with quality control for both receipted and despatched products.

About you:
•    Minimum of one year of related experience in retail, wholesale, warehousing, or logistics.
•    Proficient with computers and other standard office technology.
•    Familiarity with warehouse software.
•    Ability to deal with numbers quickly and accurately.
•    Superior organisational and communication skills.
•    Current LF forklift licence preferred.
