Shunt Truck Drivers expertly manoeuvre trailers within freight yards for loading and unloading. They ensure safe, efficient operations, maintain equipment, and adhere to strict safety protocols. Key tasks include trailer inspection and accurate record-keeping. 

Responsibilities: 

• Operate shunt truck to move trailers & containers within the yard 

• Ensure trailers & containers are safely secured & properly positioned  

• Communicate with other personnel to coordinate movements & prioritize tasks 

• Follow safety procedures & regulations at all times 

• Perform basic maintenance tasks on shunt truck such as fuelling, cleaning & inspect vehicles for defects & report any defects to the maintenance team within DSV Road 

Requirements: 

• Valid commercial driver's license with shunt truck certification 

• Proven experience as a shunt truck driver  

• Excellent hand-eye coordination & depth perception 

• Ability to operate the shunt truck safely & efficiently in a fast-paced environment 

• Strong communication skills to interact with other drivers & warehouse staff 

• Attention to detail to ensure accurate placement of trailers & containers 

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends & holidays
