The Role: Lead Frontend Developer
We are looking for a Lead Frontend Developer to join one of our Product Teams within our Parcels & Xpress Platform.
While maintaining hands-on development, you will guide the team in building scalable frontend solutions, enforcing best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, performant code. Your expertise will be key in leading architectural decisions and driving the technical direction of your team.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and lead the development of scalable frontend solutions.
- Establish and enforce frontend development standards and best practices.
- Guide developers in writing clean, maintainable, and performant code.
- Drive technical decisions while considering the business impact.
- Mentor developers on modern frontend practices and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Champion code quality through thorough code reviews and pair programming.
- Balance technical debt with feature delivery, ensuring a smooth development process.
- Collaborate with your team to define technical roadmaps.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies when they provide clear benefits.
- Break down complex features into manageable tasks for the team.
- Ensure application performance and accessibility standards are met.
- Lead architectural discussions and technical design sessions.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical challenges before they impact delivery.
What You Bring
Technical Expertise
- 8+ years of frontend development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
- Expert-level proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Deep understanding of frontend architecture patterns and micro-frontend implementations.
- Proven experience with state management solutions (Redux, RTK Query).
- Strong background in performance optimization and web vitals.
- Experience with mono-repo management and module federation.
- Testing strategies with Vitest and React Testing Library
- Mock Service Worker (MSW) for API mocking
- Build tools (Vite, Webpack)
- CSS-in-JS solutions
- Material-UI (MUI) component library
Design & UX
- Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles and best practices.
- Experience collaborating with design teams using Figma.
- Ability to make UX/UI decisions that balance user needs with technical constraints.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining design systems.
Leadership & Communication
- Proven track record of coaching and mentoring developers.
- Experience conducting technical interviews and growing the team’s technical skillset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- History of successful project delivery in an agile environment.
