Why settle for routine compliance when you can shape the financial reporting under one of Denmark’s largest acquisitions?  At DSV, we are preparing for the integration of DB Schenker – a 107 billion DKK acquisition. Bring your IFRS expertise to the table and help build compliance that adds real value.

Here you will get real accountability, global influence, and a front-row seat to the future of finance at DSV.

“With global stakeholders across Group Finance and executive leadership, your work will be seen, felt, and relied on – and you get to a make real impact on the future of financial compliance at DSV,” Susanne Simona Seested, Senior Manager, Group Financial Compliance, Group Finance.

Join a high-impact team at the heart of Group Finance

At DSV, growth is more than a goal — it is our strategy. Through bold acquisitions and a strong global footprint, we have become one of the world’s leading transport and logistics companies. And when acquisitions are central to our growth, every merger relies on precise, compliant financial reporting to succeed.

And this is where our team comes in. You will be part of a smaller, specialised team within Group Finance, working closely across functions to ensure financial compliance at the highest level. From our headquarters in Hedehusene — or, for the right candidate, from Essen, Germany — we collaborate on everything from IFRS implementations and accounting policies, to fraud investigation and external audit.

Lead high-stakes compliance projects with a global reach

You will step straight into a high-impact role where you will lead major compliance projects, including the implementation of IFRS 18. You will be trusted with real responsibility from day one — but with strong, experienced colleagues as your sounding boards.

In your first year, you will play a key role in the integration of DB Schenker — DSV’s largest acquisition to date. You will dive deep into contract analysis, support accounting decisions, and provide critical input on how the deal is reflected in our financial reporting.

Conducting solid stakeholder management and conveying tangible information at all levels of the organisation, you will:

  • Drive the IFRS 18 implementation project, including ownership of comparative figures
  • Analyse complex business initiatives and advise on accounting classification in new projects and M&A
  • Update and refine financial policies and accounting guidelines to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Provide trusted, hands-on guidance to financial controllers across global entities
  • Prepare and review key materials for external audits

This role could take you traveling for up to two weeks per year – if you are located in Essen, you can expect more regular visits to Hedehusene.

Analytical finance professional with a flair for compliance

We are looking for someone with the mindset and motivation to lead complex financial compliance tasks in a dynamic, global environment. You bring the confidence to engage with stakeholders across the organisation, supported by your great communication skills and cultural respect. While you will not be alone, you should be ready to work with limited supervision from an early stage.

We imagine that you:

  • Hold a master’s degree in accounting or finance – or a bachelor’s degree combined with relevant experience in financial compliance
  • Have 4 to 6 years of experience working with financial compliance in a large organisation or audit environment
  • Have a high degree of experience with International Financial Reporting Standards and a strong interest in applying them in practice
  • Bring English proficiency - written and spoken
