Purpose of the position

 

The Group Process Owner - MRD is responsible for aligning rules and governance structure within MRD and drive initiatives and projects to ensure high data quality in the department.

 

MRD covers Location & Property master data (LPMD), Reference Data Management (RDM) and Address Master Data (ADMD) and some innovations and automations. 

 

Key Tasks

 

Documentation:

  • Create, implement & maintain standards, processes, data dictionaries and other documentation around master and reference data
  • Identify, plan and mitigate risks to master and reference data processes

 

Data Quality Monitoring & Maintenance:

  • Define, create and implement qualitative and quantitative measures / tools to proactively manage data quality of master and reference data
  • Identify / analyse root causes that result in lower data quality and swiftly implement long term corrective actions  

 

Education & Training:

  • Conduct training sessions in countries & ISSC to ensure MRD governance is followed

 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Conduct ISSC audits to ensure MRD and MDM governance is followed, utilize findings to create an improvement pipeline and systematically implement improvements 
  • Periodically review master and reference data processes and implement improvements 
  • Maintain lessons learnt and utilize findings to create an improvement pipeline and systematically implement improvements 
  • Collaborate with other Group Process Owners (GPOs) and Group Process Specialists (GPS) to drive efficiency and streamlining of the processes 

 

Projects:

  • Drive delivery of assigned projects within the department from initiation to closure
  • Manage all tasks in the project to ensure they’re completed without any delays and within budget
  • Facilitate and manage project team members

 

Automation & Innovation:

  • Drive the delivery of automation & innovation initiatives within the department from initiation to closure
  • Manage all tasks in relation to automation & innovation initiatives
  • Facilitate technical and non-technical discussions with team members and dependent teams

 

General:

  • Stakeholder management, communication, cross functional collaboration with stakeholders such as ISSC, countries, downstream system owners, IT, compliance etc 
  • Lead various projects related to master data
  • Attend to ad-hoc requests from upper management
  • Professional skills development by participation in training and constant self-education

 

Decision Making Authority
MRD Governance i.e. standards, processes etc 

 

Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Process working

  • Must have extensive experience with either SAP MDG and / or SAP ERP 
  • Must have experience mapping and improving processes utilizing various methodologies 
  • Experience utilizing Lean and Six Sigma for continuous improvement, root cause analysis

Educational background / Work experience

  • Must have experience with Process management - mapping, descriptions, improvement
  • Experience working abroad and within corporate environment required
  • University degree or equivalent 
  • Project management, Lean, Six Sigma experience is an advantage

 

Language skills

  • English fluent

 

Computer Literacy

  • Microsoft Office especially Visio, Excel and PowerPoint. MS Project is an advantage 
  • Basic SQL, Access database, Relational databases is an advantage
  • Experience with Power BI, Jira, SharePoint is an advantage
