Financial Analyst - DSV Air & Sea Inc.

 

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Regional Financial Shared Service Center in Iselin, New Jersey. This position requires on-site presence.

 

The Financial Analyst will support the DSV Air & Sea Manager, Business Controller, and Branch Managers, in providing financial insight into their country and local branch results. For month-end close the financial analyst provides operational reconciliation work to the team and ensures financial compliance for a clean audit trail.

 

The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, understanding of financial statements, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-finance colleagues.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES     

  • Supporting the business controlling team with accurate, timely, and meaningful financial analysis to influence business decisions; including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Working closely with business operations to ensure financial compliance.
  • Supporting the preparation of management reports.
  • Develop financial models and forecasts.
  • Support the budget process.
  • Assist in driving process improvements and streamline financial operations.
  • Aid in the development of policies and procedures to support finance activities.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in finance.
  • GAAP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
  • Experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle is a plus.
  • Experience with CargoWise is a plus.
  • Experience working in large organizations is a plus.
  • Experience in freight forwarding and logistics industries is a plus.

  • Good stakeholder management and communication.
  • Maintaining a level-head under pressure at month, quarter and year end are required, along with positive and professional attitude.
  • Good organization skill & attention to detail, able to plan and meet deadlines with good quality.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of accounting processes and procedures.
  • Flexibility around working hours as needed.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experienced in Excel.
  • Good with large datasets.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Fluent in English

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Reports to the Manager, Business Controller.
  • Work location is in-office in the MetroPark area of Iselin, NJ.
  • This is a fast-paced and fast-growing company.

 

 

For this position, the expected base pay is: $62,500 - $84,500 / Annual.  Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
