Summary

As a Project Manager at DSV, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role includes overseeing all aspects of the project, coordinating with internal departments and external stakeholders, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will focus on acquisition projects, reporting, developing presentations, supporting sales efforts, and transitioning customers from other systems and companies to ensure smooth operational integration.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans and timelines to ensure project completion within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Manage project budgets and resources, including staff allocation, equipment, and materials.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates through comprehensive reporting to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues proactively.
  • Create impactful presentations to communicate updates, milestones, and strategic insights to stakeholders effectively.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports by collecting, analyzing, and organizing data to generate accurate reports.
  • Support sales teams by providing insights and integration strategies to align with customer requirements.
  • Manage and execute acquisition projects, including the seamless transition of customers, processes, and systems from other companies.
  • Act as the liaison during customer transitions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and minimizing disruptions.

 

Educational background / Work experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of project management experience in the transportation and logistics industry
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Experience managing projects across multiple departments and stakeholders

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong project management skills, including resource and budget management, plan development, and progress monitoring.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
  • Experience with creating reports and professional presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project or similar tools

 

Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • Familiarity with the transportation and logistics industry, including regulatory requirements and market trends

 

Language skills

  • Fluent in English (oral and written)

 

Computer Literacy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project or similar tools

For this position, the expected base pay is: $70,500 - $105,500/ Annual.  Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
