Job Posting Title: Project Manager, Fairs & Events
Time Type: Full Time
The Project Manager, Fairs & Events, is responsible for both import and exporting freight functions, import management and coordination of goods by air and by sea from arrival USA port or airport, managing the Customs clearance and arranging delivery to final destination / exhibition site. Export coordination by air or sea also will be required to return the shipment back to origin or final customer. Some travel to USA trade shows will be required.
This position will report to the Manager of Fairs and Evets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Managing the import of goods by air and by sea, including customs clearance and delivery to final destination.
• Managing exporting of the goods by air or sea back to origin or to customer-preferred destinations
• Communication with overseas agents, customers, airlines, ocean terminals, customs brokers and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Liaising in person with customers, suppliers, and general show contractors when on exhibition site.
• Prepare and submit required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, Powers of Attorney and other relevant paperwork.
• Approval of supplier invoices invoicing to overseas offices.
• Mange relationships with customers and vendors while providing a high level of customer service.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education & Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years logistics experience in Freight Forwarding, preferably managing freight for tradeshows or special events
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics or equivalent fields is required; In Lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 5 years’ experience will be accepted.
Computer Skills:
• Experience with CargoWise, SAP knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications is needed.

• English (reading, writing, and verbal)
Mathematical Skills
• Good mathematical skills
Other Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience.
• Cargo Wise logistics software would be helpful.
• Language Skills Fluency in English required.
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus but not required.
• Basic understanding of accounting.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
